Robert Half Accounting Manager in Westborough, Massachusetts
Description
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.
Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
Lead efforts to enhance the efficiency of accounting processes by leveraging Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or other accounting software, identifying opportunities for optimization.
Provide strategic insights and support to cross-functional teams by generating financial reports, analyzing trends, and aiding decision-making processes.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguard company assets.
Partner with IT and finance teams to troubleshoot system-related issues, evaluate new technologies, and drive digital transformation initiatives.
Train and support team members in utilizing accounting systems and software effectively.
Requirements
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with 3+ years in a managerial role.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and other accounting software; experience with system integrations is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of general accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
Proven ability to lead and develop a team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
