The NDT Responsible Level 3 is designated by the repair station to ensure that the site’s NDT qualification and certification requirements are met. In this position, the candidate’s primary role will be to administer those requirements (NAS 410), provide technical support to the NDT inspectors and customers seeking our NDT services, and to work with the Quality Manager to align the repair station’s procedures appropriately within applicable standards to meet its NDT goals. While the primary focus of this role is the NDT line, when there is downtime, the candidate will support the Quality department as a supplemental Quality Engineer (QE), by reviewing procedures, specifications, work instructions, and equipment to ensure compliance with the site Quality Management System (QMS).
What You Will Do:
Responsible for the administration of local RSP 6.1 Qualification and Certification of NDT Personnel (NAS 410), and compliance with other NDT procedures and site QMS (includes training and testing NDT personnel as appropriate)
Review NDT work instructions for technical adequacy
Provide technical support to NDT Inspectors and Customers seeking MRO NDT services
Prevent escapes and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) by identifying non-conformance drivers and implementing mistake-proof solutions
Work closely with the Process Engineering group, ensuring the repair station’s quality signature through process review activities and process plan improvement
Ensure compliance to requirements of the FAA and other regulators for which the repair station is certificated, as well as adherence to applicable laws and company policies
Participate in and guide investigations related to product safety
Assist with immediate risk containment measures and systemic mistake-proof solutions to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance
Perform regular internal audits to ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and support external customer or regulator audits as required
Qualifications You Must Have:
A University Degree and minimum 8 years prior experience to include NDT inspection, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
NAS 410 certified for FPI with experience as a Responsible Level 3
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
MPI and USI certifications
Previous work experience in a FAR 145 repair station environment
A strong background in RRCA and Continuous Improvement
Ability to navigate Solumina and SAP
Effective communication, forward thinking, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills; ability to work in a dynamic environment; self-directed with a strong ability to drive and deliver results

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
