The P&W Military APU and Turbojet Business Unit, located in West Palm Beach, Florida has an immediate opening for a highly experienced, results-driven, energetic Program Manager to lead one or more APU or Turbojet Programs. Program Leader and Chairperson of the Program Management Team(s) reporting to the APU Program Director responsible for leading total Program venture (P&L, quality, delivery and Customer Satisfaction).

What Will You Do

  • Accountable for all program objectives resolution of conflicting program priorities between Customer, Suppliers and other internal and external partners

  • Lead strategic and process maturity projects for the APU/TJ business

  • Ensure program compliance with contract requirements and P&W policies/procedures and responsible for establishing customer satisfaction goals for each program and ensuring that they are met

  • Identify follow-on business, lead proposal teams and ensure that Program planning supports execution of Program Planning, Budgeting and Execution

  • Lead APU and Turbojet development programs through new product introduction

  • Allocate and distribute Program resources, budget, IDWAs and schedule consistent with allocation and availability of resources

  • Ensure all model program, technical, and logistics issues relating to quality escapes, repairs, warranty support, proposals, cost reduction initiatives, engineering changes, new engine production, service bulletin priority and fleet risk management are addressed

Qualifications You Must Have

  • BS/BA in Engineering, Logistics, Operations, Business, or Management

  • 10 years of program management, operations, and or aviation experience or an advanced Degree in with 7 years of program management, operations, and or aviation experience

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

  • Ability to travel is required domestically and internationally up to 20%.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or Business

  • Experience managing development programs

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
