This role is an essential member of the finance team. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will play an integral part in monitoring, and reporting on the performance of Hourglass globally.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to critically review data and provide recommendations to drive the business forward. This position works across global markets, and multiple channels while interacting with all departments.   You will get first-hand experience of how a fast growing, innovative beauty brand operates. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Financial Planning & Analysis

Monitor key performance indicators across retail, DTC, & operations and communicate effectively to leaders across the business on those trends

Complete monthly management and external reporting

Monthly board meeting preparation, and attendance

Quarterly deep-dive business reviews

Work across all functions of the business to review budgets and forecast

In the current dynamic, and ever-changing landscape for the business, and our category - ad-hoc reporting, and analysis based on business needs

Technology Enabled Dynamic Reviews

Partner closely with HOURGLASS’ digital team to drive forward the analytics agenda

Continuous improvement of HOURGLASS’ retail sales analytics

Continually improve visibility into HOURGLASS’ operational data to provide actionable insights

Use the tools built to articulate key drivers of business performance and the interventions required (where appropriate)

Special Projects

Work alongside the CFO to evaluate new technologies and ways of working to improve visibility into performance, and empower team members across the business to have the right data, at the right time to aid their decision-making process

Manage retail pricing and inflation analysis across the global business to drive appropriate actions to protect profitability

Work with the Controller to ensure that audit recommendations are implemented, and the team can continue to work efficiently whilst adhere to Controls Framework

Support CFO on managing China expansion

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven track record of 7+ years of Finance experience

Strong Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint skills

Experience using financial planning (Adaptive Insights), and analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau) is preferred

Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and possess the drive to succeed within a fast-paced environment

Needs to be a creative and analytical thinker and problem solver, thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and oversee multiple projects at once, have attention to detail, and work well with cross-functional teams.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to communicate complex ideas and processes in a simplified manner.

Team player with no ego, willing to roll up their sleeves where no task is too large or small

The expected base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $145,000 per year. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
