Description

The Senior Director of Compliance Operations is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance risk model to manage IGT's most significant compliance risks. This role involves supervising the Privacy Operations Director to ensure robust data protection and privacy across the organization, as well as overseeing other compliance professionals to integrate compliance considerations into business operations effectively. The Senior Director will collaborate with senior leaders, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to maintain the organization's reputation and integrity. Key responsibilities include developing compliance strategies, working with Legal to conduct global risk assessments, integrating compliance efforts across departments, and fostering a culture of ethical behavior and accountability. The role also involves overseeing budget management, leveraging technology for compliance operations, and maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge to continuously enhance compliance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance Strategy and Risk Assessment : Develop and implement a global compliance strategy and risk assessment process to identify, prioritize, and manage threats related to non-compliance or misconduct, safeguarding against fines, reputational damage, and operational disruptions.

  • Cross-Functional Integration : Collaborate with other departments, such as enterprise risk management (ERM), legal, finance, and operations, to integrate compliance efforts and ensure a holistic approach to risk management across the organization.

  • Risk Management and Policy Oversight : Work with risk owners and Legal to develop, implement and monitor policies and controls for mitigating compliance risks in areas like anti-corruption and cybersecurity, ensuring they are effectively integrated into business processes.

  • Privacy Program Leadership : Accountable for the direct supervision of the privacy operations Director and program, ensuring comprehensive data protection and privacy compliance throughout the organization.

  • Communication and Training : Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employee adherence to compliance policies and effectively communicate updates across the organization to maintain compliance awareness.

  • Reporting and Documentation : Prepare comprehensive reports on compliance activities and outcomes, providing detailed analysis and insights to senior management and the board of directors. Ensure documentation is thorough and supports strategic decision-making, highlighting key compliance trends, challenges, and achievements.

  • Budget Management : Oversee the compliance department's budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support compliance initiatives and operational needs.

  • Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with senior leaders, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to integrate compliance considerations into business operations and decision-making processes, serving as a key advisor on compliance-related matters.

  • Ethical Leadership and Cultural Sensitivity : Serve as a role model for ethical behavior and decision-making, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability. Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly in international compliance contexts, to ensure effective communication and strategy implementation.

  • Industry Knowledge and Best Practice : Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in compliance management.

  • Performance Measures and Continuous Improvement : Develop and track performance metrics to evaluate the success of compliance initiatives, using data-driven insights and benchmarking against peers and continuously enhance compliance operations.

  • Technology Utilization : Leverage compliance technology and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of compliance operations, ensuring that systems are up-to-date and aligned with laws and regulations (i.e., privacy), industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience : Minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance management, with at least 5 years in a management role.

  • Certification : Certification in compliance management, preferred.

  • Regulatory Knowledge : Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.

  • Leadership Skills : Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strategic Implementation : Proven ability to develop and implement effective compliance operational strategies and programs.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $154,258 - $250,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
