This is an onsite support position designed to assist the purchasing and customer service areas in a hybrid function with various tasks as a member of the Customer Engagement Team. We are located in West Dundee, IL with a typical work schedule of 7:45 AM-4:15 PM M-F.
Purchasing support duties include playing a key role in the supply chain management process. The primary responsibilities are to ensure prompt delivery of materials and services by communicating the status of critical orders and eliminating difficulties and delays.
Duties include accurate order entry, handling status inquiries, and providing real-time status updates.
Customer service support duties include being responsible for assisting the Customer Engagement teams members in entering, processing and fulfilling orders and inquiries in a timely manner.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Purchasing Support
- Placing and expediting supply orders for inventory and office supplies
- Confirms shipping dates and monitors shipping notices to avoid potential problems with deliveries
- Reports major shipping problems to purchasing agent and customer service
- Monitor shipments to identify delays once order is in transit
- Supporting Shipping Coordinator for inventory control in purchasing and importing from overseas suppliers, including customs clearing procedures
- Purchase order entry and expediting
Customer Service Support
- Assist with order entry for materials or services received by members of the Customer Engagement team via fax, mail, email telephone, web chat, or personal requests
- Reviews product warranties related to customer inquiries and requests
- Process documentation for product returns/ knowledge of Renishaws RBE process
- Engage in new order and return follow-up, as directed
- Coordinates product returns and related customer inquiries
- Escalates issues to higher authorities
- Other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Minimum
- Experience in Purchasing, Materials Management, Import/Export logistics
- Knowledge of U.S. sales
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent attention to accuracy and detail
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
Education and Experience: Preferred
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant experience or degree; advanced degree/certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Competencies
- Ability to multitask and work independently

Compensation Range-Non-exempt, hourly role (Annual estimate)
- Up to \$45,000(depending on experience level)
