Prince Telecom is seeking an OSP Supervisor in West Des Moines, IA to join our team and help connect America!
Salary: $60,000
Job Type: Full-time (W2)
What you will do:
Supervise a team of FTTH in-home and SMB installation technicians
Coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of field staff.
Coordinate scheduling, assist dispatch with daily job routing and ensure adequate staffing.
Identify problem areas in the department and communicate problems and possible solutions to the Project Manager.
Develop procedures and implement them to better organize the team/department.
Assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to technicians.
Assist in recruitment and training efforts.
Assist in warehousing and logistics support as needed.
Establish, implement, and maintain operating standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
Track employee performance, tool assignments, vehicle assignments, uniforms, consumable items, etc. through the creation and use of spreadsheets and other documents.
Perform quality control inspections and correct/coach any issues found.
Interface with customers to resolve complaints and damages resulting from installation work.
Perform various field technician duties as needed.
What we are looking for:
1 year telecom or construction experience
Physically able to perform mandatory job site inspections to ensure employee compliance with all company safety policies and procedures
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Able to work a very flexible schedule
Able to work in a fast-paced time sensitive environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks and last minute changes
Exceptional customer service skills
Team player
Former supervisory experience a plus
Valid driver's license required
