Primary Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Kitchen Steward is to ensure that all guests have an excellent experience while performing kitchen duties related to maintaining kitchen work areas, restaurant and kitchen equipment, and utensils.

Wage: $14.70

Hours: Evenings and Weekends

Work Performed:

The Kitchen Steward will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:

  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, food storage areas, walk-in fridges, freezers, ovens, and dry storagecupboards;

  • Clean, sanitize,and store dishes, glasses, utensils,and other kitchen equipment in thedesignatedareas;

  • Hand-wash pots, pans, and traysper the prescribedstandard;

  • Manage trash andgarbage(including separating), cleancans, and maintain loading dock;

  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and workareas;

  • Complete regular sanitization/disinfection of all kitchen and food and beverage work areas that include flooring, storerooms, prep areas, buffets, dining tables, andequipment;

  • Assistwith food dish-up, set-up sheets,andset-up and break-down for various events; and

  • Any and allother work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.

Qualifications:

Preferred Prior Experience:

Prior related experience

Preferred Education:

High School diploma or equivalent

Required Licenses/ Certification:

Food Safety certificate or complete training during initial 90 days.

Preferred Licenses/Certification:

ServSafe certification

Physical:

Ability to lift, pull and push up to 50 pounds regularly

Ability to bend and squat repeatedly

Ability to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift

Other:

Flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.


Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
