Job Description


As a CAD Designer, you will have the opportunity to produce pattern designs using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools. You will create detailed drawings of products from sketches using CAD equipment and associated peripheral equipment/software.

In this role, you will be trusted to:

  • Perform non-complex detailing, redrawing, lettering and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies and engineering change orders.

  • Ensure that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain the product style.

  • Contribute design modifications to improve the product quality and function.

  • Follow instructions and procedures.




  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • At least 2 years related experience.

  • Strong oral and written communications skills.

  • Knowledge of CAD software techniques and tools.

  • Knowledge of design tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interpersonal ability to work in a fast paced team environment.

  • Knowledge and experience of creating 3D models, assemblies, and prints in CREO.

  • Experience working with Windchill and PDM Link.

  • Experience using GD&T on drawings.

  • Experience with plastic component design and/or experience modeling sheetmetal and/or piping assemblies is preferred.
