YMCA Cape Cod Development Associate in West Barnstable, Massachusetts

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is part of a small, close-knit team & often acts as the front face of the YMCA fundraising office, greeting donors & visitors to the executive & fundraising offices, coordinating donor event outreach & registration, & supporting fundraisers with donation reporting & thank you letters, mailing list pulls. This position also coordinates logistics for small donor events; our annual golf tournament, teen achievers benefit dinner, & annual community breakfast; & our team participation in community events such as Second Summer Cycle & Falmouth Road Race Responsible for day-to-day management of the donor database including setting up events & fundraising campaigns, entering gifts & pledges, reporting, & maintaining integrity & security of donor database, systems, & processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for the maintenance of the donor database including entry of donations, pledges, sponsorships, donor & campaigner information; creation of fundraising campaigns; & the generation of reports, billing/invoicing, & mailing lists. Communicate with various donors, corporations, foundations, event sponsors, & vendors including generating weekly thank you letters. Responsible for maintaining accurate & complete files on the shared network as well as paper back-ups as needed. Coordinate event logistics including managing invitation mailings, registration, vendor contracts, sponsor & attendee communications. Systematically distributes donor information & reports to various donors, stakeholders such as volunteers, board members, & staff including but not limited to contacts, thank you notes, gift acknowledgements, & annual tax statements as scheduled. Audits donor information & database for accuracy & completeness & updates as necessary. Works in partnership with Payroll & Benefits Administrator & outside businesses to reconcile payroll deduction for employee donor gifts & matching companies on a monthly schedule. Attends event & development department related meetings. Provides excellent communication with a high level of tact & discretion. Maintains strict confidentiality of highly sensitive donor information. Supports special projects as assigned. Education: Associates of Applied Business or related field or equivalent work experience Experience: Two years\'experience in database entry & management Two years\' MS Excel experience One year of related administrative experience One year previous experience in managing multiple tasks effectively & efficiently.
