Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in Wellsville, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) lathe machine with a higher level of experience than the skill set of a CNC Lathe Machinist
  • Program CNC lathes by using client standards
  • Setting tool registers, offsets & Compensation
  • Set up CNC lathes by installing and adjusting fixtures, tools, attachments, and collets
  • Verify first-run part for acceptance
  • Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; and troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls
  • Adjust cutting feeds and speeds for optimum performance
  • Accomplish organisation goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC controls

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • CNC-LATHE-S2
  • DRAWING-ADV
  • Intermediate Mastercam Training - At BSI Discretion (Not Required By All)
  • Blueprint reading, including geometric tolerances and surface finishes
  • Use measuring instruments, including but not limited to micrometres, callipers and dial indicators, with a high level of confidence.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
