Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing intermediate analysis and documentation, formulating logical statements of business and management problems, and providing solutions to problems utilizing more efficient operational procedure, workflow, and information technology solutions.

Job Duties:

The Research Information Systems (RIS) Senior Applications Systems Analyst position within the IT Services is responsible for providing intermediate production support and project development, application analysis and documentation, formulating logical statements of business and management problems, and providing solutions to problems utilizing more efficient operational procedures, workflow, and information technology solutions.

  • Administers Research Application support across the Research enterprise including Advarra OnCore Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS) and eRegulatory Management System, InfoEd Research Administration, as well as multiple other systems and solutions.

  • Solves intermediate to complex technical issues.

  • Serves as a role model and liaison to Applications Systems Analysts.

  • Applies intermediate to advanced analysis skills to create and maintain documentation.

  • Conducts & receives training and knowledge transfer within teams and with customer sets.

  • Identifies, designs, tests, and verifies solutions and integrations with other applications.

  • Manages multiple activities within the scope of project; may function as project lead.

  • Designs and/or modifies plans and procedures and follows project plans to ensure project success.

  • Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.

  • Assists in coordinating implementation of systems.

  • Assists in the cost justification of system changes and information technology resources.

  • Proactively partners with customers to meet their needs.

  • Researches new technological solutions, verifies and applies solutions of others and self.

  • Applies analysis and documentation to support and understand problem.

  • Understands components within a system, as well as interaction with other applications.

  • Demonstrates awareness and understanding of institution, department and customer mission and goals.

  • Provides status updates to project and departmental leadership.

  • Serves as liaison with vendors and/or business partners and their products and services.

  • Participates as a team member.

Marginal or Periodic Functions:

  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

  • Position is majority remote with the occasional need to come to a campus site for a scheduled session

  • To provide the technical skills required to generate, modify, and maintain computer operating system software and application system software within well-defined limits.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Basic Knowledge of SQL Server

  • Proficient with the Microsoft products (Excel, TEAMS, SharePoint) Required

  • Experience: Experience/knowledge of data visualization applications, data analysis, and data modeling

Work Schedule:

Partial Remote,Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm and as needed.

Salary Range:

$79,600.00 to $85,680.00, actual salary commensurate with experience.
