Responsibilities
Operate a variety of manual and automated saws throughout the cutting process.
• Use gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure machines are functioning properly.
• Identify sources of miscuts or overcuts, drive investigations to root cause and corrective actions,
escalate machine issues, and make minor repairs and adjustments to the machinery.
• Assist with the assessment of foam drops for processing into customer orders and monitor the
accumulation of drops to trigger additional actions.
• Capture information regarding defective or damaged buns, assist with determining if the
damage/defect was caused internally or from the supplier, and record the bun size, grade, and lot
number for credit, where applicable.
• Embody a safe work culture by always wearing appropriate PPE and following all processes.
• Perform daily PMs on equipment.
• Train new saw operators, cross-train existing staff, and retrain saw operators as needed. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Experience mentoring and training other operators and associates.
• Ability to physically move products, materials, or equipment between work areas, either manually or
with the use of a cart, pallet jack, or forklift.
