Actalent Land Survey Technician in Wayzata, Minnesota

A leading Civil Engineering firm specializing in land development is seeking an LSIT or Office Survey Technician. The successful candidate will work on a variety of metro area residential projects, ranging from small to large-scale developments. Responsibilities include drafting and preparing ALTA/NSPS surveys, preliminary and final plats, and certificates of survey for new home construction, as well as developed and custom home sites. Additionally, this role may involve working on public development projects.
Responsibilities
Draft and prepare ALTA/NSPS surveys, preliminary and final plats, and certificates of survey for new home construction and developed/custom home sites.
Draft survey certificates for housing developments and other new projects.
Work with the field crew to ensure accurate data collection and processing.
Partner with engineers and clients on layout and grading plans.
Essential Skills
2+ years of experience in land surveying.
2+ years of experience with ALTA/NSPS surveys.
2+ years of experience with drafting.
Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and topography.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
LSIT certification is ideal but not required.
Experience working in land development within a surveying firm or team.
Work Environment
This individual will primarily work in the office, drafting and creating survey certificates. The office operates Monday through Friday with some flexibility. The office staff includes 4 Professional Engineers (PEs), 3 registered land surveyors leading each team, as well as EITs and LSITs. During the summer, there are 5-6 field crews running.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.
