What you will do: We would like you to perform electrical project engineering functions that include, but are not limited to, design of packaged equipment control and wiring systems, processing orders, cost estimating, establishing standards, and interfacing with customers.

How you will do it:

Various application, estimating and project assignments

Selecting and/or specifying controls and wiring for compressors and associated rotating equipment

Designing and/or specifying control panels and motor switchgear including electromechanical panels, microprocessor panels, PLC and DCS based system panels

Performing engineering calculations such as power consumption, control transformer sizing, instrument loop impedances, etc.

Sketching ladder logic, logical flow and/or instrumentation diagrams and rudimentary panel layouts using PC based drawing programs. (AutoCAD preferred)

Providing guidelines for the design of control panels, junction boxes and conduit/wiring systems in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC)

Writing inquiries, specifications, and requisitions for purchased equipment

Checking drawings and writing installation/operation and maintenance instructions

Reviewing orders and specifications to identify technical cost options, comments, clarifications, and exceptions

Interfacing with customers daily, both internal and external

Attending meetings, both at our facility as well as customer facility. Traveling on a limited basis

Conferring with project engineering personnel as well as manufacturing personnel

Work on various projects at different stages at the same time

What we look for:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a four-year college or university or related experience and/or training in packaged industrial electrical control and wiring systems

Knowledge of Microsoft office including Word and Excel Preferred

Experience with AutoCAD is preferred

Construction experience
