Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing relevant support and analysis to Client Project Management, Project Coordination, and Business Operations, necessary to achieve a successful billing process of review and approval, as well as partnering with the business to address finance inquiries with our clients. The scope of these responsibilities includes, but is not limited to, cost center expense management, invoice review and sign-off, analysis and management of the site's unbilled revenue, review of client contracts, and development and reporting of KPIs to monitor the financial health of the site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with client project management and client services on Statements of Work (SOWs) and relevant SAP workflow as needed, including cost analysis used to develop pricing.

  • Partner with client project management and project coordination to analyze impact on revenue recognition (ASC 606).

  • Analyze client unbilled and aging receivables and partner with CRL Credit and Collections, Project Coordination, Client Project Management, Business Development, and Site Operations to drive resolution.

  • Prepare and present client invoice reconciliations, along with relevant supporting documentation to assist Project Coordination and Client Project Management address client invoicing needs.

  • Partner with site Operations and Quality to develop KPI's and reporting to allow for relevant business decision making and measurement of the business operations and efficiency.

  • Utilize SAP, AFO and SAC applications to develop routine financial reporting tools for variance analysis and reporting.

  • Analyze financial and operational performance, provide concise, relevant explanations, observations and/or recommendations to leadership and executive management.

  • Contribute to the development of monthly/quarterly forecasts, Annual Operating Plan, Strategic Plan, and analyze the variances.

  • Support monthly business reviews with senior management discussing operational and financial results, challenges, opportunities, strengths, and weaknesses.

  • Proactively partner with site leadership (Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Sales, Human Resources, etc.) to address organizational needs and identify financial risk and opportunities to improve financial reporting.

  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent business or science degree.

  • Experience: 5 - 7+ years experience in financial analysis or business. Experience in Life Science industry strongly preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills with recommendations grounded in data.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. 10 yrs experience as a Financial Analyst will be accepted in lieu of Bachelor's degree.

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000K USD annually. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
