JOB SUMMARY, DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS: Job Summary This full-time faculty position will support instruction for NTC\'s Sign Language Interpreting in Education program in the School of Business and Learning Technologies. The primary purpose of the Sign Language Interpreting in Education faculty is to prepare learners to become American Sign Language interpreters in educational settings and become licensed to work in K-12th grades and to successfully pass the Department of Public Instruction License 0020, Educational Interpreter license following graduation. Educational interpreters are needed to facilitate communication between Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and their teachers and peers throughout the school day, as well as be a valued member of the educational team, performing other duties in the school. The faculty member trains learners to be ready for their career and prepares them for all future licensure and national testing requirements. This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position that is expected to end by June 30, 2026. Essential Functions and Responsibilities The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully with or without reasonable accommodation. Teaching & Student Success: Facilitate student learning through engaging instructional strategies and methodologies across various modalities, including in-person, online, hybrid and out-of-classroom activities, and mentoring students and peers. Adhere to NTC\'s academic calendar, Student Connect hours, teaching assignments, post and maintain office hours, and conduct assigned classes for the scheduled length of time in accordance with the faculty contract.
