Description

Robert Half is partnering with Waukesha, WI client in the recruiting for an HR Generalist to join their team due to growth. This role will be focused on overseeing critical aspects of the hiring and onboarding process, ensuring that new employees have a seamless, positive experience and are well-prepared to succeed in their roles. You will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with employment regulations, fostering a strong company culture, and act as a point of contact for employees with employee relation matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for open positions.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and serve as a resource during hiring efforts.

  • Manage the onboarding process, including orientation sessions, new hire paperwork, and work with HR for new employee set up in HRIS.

  • Ensure new employees are integrated into organizational culture and workflows.

  • Facilitate welcome activities and initial training sessions.

  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related concerns.

  • Work to resolve workplace disputes and maintain positive employee relations.

  • Implement initiatives to foster employee engagement and retention.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and federal/state labor laws.

  • Draft, revise, and disseminate HR policies and procedures.

  • Help managers with performance appraisal processes, including feedback and goal-setting.

  • Prepare HR-related reports and analyze data for workforce planning.

  • Manage HR documentation, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • 2-4 years of experience in an HR generalist or related role

  • Proficient with the pre-employment and/or onboarding processes.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth organization is a plus.

  • Knowledge and experience with HRIS platforms

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Understanding of federal and state employment laws relevant to hiring, background checks, and onboarding.
