Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Learning Leader to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for its learning and development initiatives. This strategy will encompass design, delivery, and measurement, aligning with our EHS strategic priorities. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally across the business to build training programs that enhance EHS performance and culture, integrating EHS principles into everyday operations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic/ Standard work

  • Lead EHS Learning Program : Spearhead the EHS learning initiatives, focusing on three core areas: Maintain compliance, reducing EHS risk and increasing operational leadership engagement.

  • Strategy Development : Establish a comprehensive strategy for current and future EHS learning and development experiences, encompassing design, delivery, and measurement.

  • Risk Evaluation : Assess the current and emerging EHS risk profile to identify opportunities for risk mitigation through targeted learning programs.

  • Knowledge Enhancement : Elevate EHS knowledge and culture among Senior Leaders, Plant Managers, Supervisors, and other operations leaders through in-person and virtual training.

  • FLIGHT DECK Integration : Incorporate GE Aerospace FLIGHT DECK principles into the EHS learning approach.

  • Collaboration : Partner closely with the Global EHS team and organizational EHS leaders to identify opportunities to amplify risk reduction efforts and enhance EHS performance through learning.

  • Vendor Management : Oversee the management of third-party vendors for training design, formatting, translation, and integration into the GE Aerospace Learning management system.

Site support : Provide support avenues for site based EHS learning administrators, soliciting stakeholder feedback to make program revisions, enhancements, and improvements.

Tactical/ Project

  • Customized Learning : Tailor learning offerings and experiences to specific audience groups based on their needs, skills, and learning objectives.

  • Catalog Refresh : Update and refresh the GE Aerospace EHS learning catalog to meet business future needs.

  • Measurement Strategy : Develop a measurement strategy to evaluate training completion, effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Facilitation : Facilitate the delivery of planned and on-demand learning sessions to all leadership tiers within the organization, ensuring an optimal and effective learning experience.

  • Capacity Building : Build capacity for internal training within the business by upskilling others as trainers and facilitators.

  • External Providers : Evaluate and engage training providers as necessary to meet learning needs.

  • Data Analysis : Compile data, identify trends, and analyze results to make data-driven decisions that influence the evolution of learning programs, experiences, and offerings.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS, Training, Learning and Cultural Development

Desired Characteristics and Expereince

  • 10+ years’ experience in EHS, Training, Learning and Cultural Development

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Established project management skills.
