Creative Visions Landscape and Design Seed/Sod Foreman in Watertown, South Dakota
Job Summary: Full-time, year-round employment at $15.00-25.00 per hour. DOE. Snow removal pay differential. Bonus/benefits structure. 2-3 years of seeding or sodding experience is preferred. Perform/oversee all seeding and sodding operations with a crew of 2-3 workers. Reports To: Owner/Designer Major Accountabilities:
- Seeding, fertilizing, hydro-mulching, erosion control blanket and sodding
- Grade work with skid steer
- Ability to lead/teach laborers and the ability to speak with homeowners
- Ability to read blueprints and use correct seed or fertilizer
- Follow all health and safety regulations including wearing appropriate protective equipment and following Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for safe handling of fertilizers and other dangerous materials
- Clean working areas and maintain tools and equipment
- Must have CDL or ability to get one
- Ability to mobilize/haul equipment on trailers
- Snow removal tasks i.e. plowing, hauling, ice control, shoveling, etc.
Additional Accountabilities:
- Maintenance on all equipment, attachments, and implements in the winter months
- Work on, clean, organize all job trailers in the winter months
- Keep the shop clean and organized
- Return materials/pallets to suppliers
- Mix salt/sand and make brine
- Misc. snow removal duties
- Clean and inspect all snow removal equipment after each storm
Tools and Equipment:
- Skid steer, tractor, implements and attachments, force grading machine
- Hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hammers, wheelbarrows, picks, sprayers, saws, etc.
Education: Secondary schooling is preferred; however, on the job training is available Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
