Sodexo Dietitian Nutritionist I in WATERTOWN, South Dakota
Unit Description
Sodexo is seeking a part time, 16-20 hours/week, Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic team at Prairie Lakes Healthcare System. Responsibilities includes providing general outpatient counseling (70%) and inpatient care (30%). This 81-bed acute healthcare facility is located in Watertown, SD, 104 miles north of Sioux Falls SD.
Hourly Rate: $25-$30/hour
Option to work (2) 10 hour days!

The successful candidate will:
provide individualized 1:1 outpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy to clients with a variety of medical conditions;
lead a weight management course 2X/year;
provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units;
be on call rotating weekends (no inpatient weekend coverage);
perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays;
educate healthcare team member, including physicians and nurses; and
precept dietetic interns.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, this must be a master’s degree)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
