Responsibilities
Performs laboratory tasks under the direction of a FTE such as media prep, planting, counting, reagent preparation, sample discarding, evaluating, data entry, sample receipt, sample organization, housekeeping and other routine laboratory tasks. Under the guidance of a FTE, conduct routine and preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment. Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, ordering and stocking. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform tasks within the laboratory. Must be able to multi task and willing to work in fast paced and/or team based environments. Participate in high throughput environment that is focused on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Lean processes.
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
standing for 8 hours at one time
working up to 1 hrs of overtime per week
