Job Title: Quality Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Coordinator to support and work closely with our quality team. In this role, you will be responsible for backing up the team in various tasks such as audits, lab work, and data entry. You will collaborate with the QA team to ensure shipments are properly staged for the production team. Additionally, you will support the production team by monitoring production runs, recording data during experiments, and documenting experiment formulas. When necessary, you will assist on the production floor, operating equipment and ensuring production scheduling is on track.

Responsibilities

  • Support the quality team with audits, lab work, and data entry.

  • Collaborate with the QA team to stage shipments properly for the production team.

  • Monitor production runs and record data during experiments.

  • Document experiment formulas and assist on the production floor when needed.

  • Schedule and coordinate production, ensuring work orders are prepared and paperwork is in order.

  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to monitor inventory, oversee inventory transactions, and develop an inventory program.

  • Monitor incoming loads and create work orders.

  • Send out quotes and negotiate prices with transportation companies.

  • Order various items ranging from toiletries to MRO parts.

  • Act as a backup safety coordinator, enforcing policies and scheduling inspections.

  • Support other administrative responsibilities such as payroll when needed.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a GMP environment, preferably in the food industry.

  • Proficiency in laboratory procedures and quality assurance.

  • Knowledge of SOPs and GMP regulations.

  • Experience with environmental swabbing and monitoring.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong system orientation and ability to streamline processes.

  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing roles and responsibilities.

  • Approachable personality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • B.S. in Business or related field with 1-4+ years of experience in a GMP environment (food industry preferred), or

  • High school diploma/Associates degree with 5-6+ years of experience in a GMP environment (food industry preferred).

  • 1-4 years of experience following SOPs.

  • 1-4 years of experience working with Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with warehouse or inventory systems preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a first shift schedule from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will work in a clean room setting on the manufacturing floor, in a lab area within the manufacturing floor, and in an open office space. The company offers benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K. Holidays observed include 10 recognized days, and PTO accrual starts from the date of hire.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
