Job Title: Concrete Laborer
Job Description
Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth and align them. Check the forms that hold the concrete to ensure they are properly constructed. Pour, level, and smooth concrete using a rake, shovel, hand/power trowel, hand/power screed, and float. Produce a rough concrete surface using a broom. Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge. Clean chipped areas using a wire brush, and feel and observe the surface to determine if it is rough or uneven. Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of the concrete and waterproof or restore the surface. Perform other duties as requested.

Essential Skills
1-2 years of construction experience in any trade.
Ability to lift 50lbs consistently throughout the day.
Valid driver's license.
Transportation to job site.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Concrete experience is highly preferred but not required.
Experience with hand/power trowel, hand/power screed, and float.
Experience in flatwork and foundation construction.

Work Environment
This position involves outdoor work with a crew size of 5-6 members. Expect to work 45-50 hours per week.

This is a Contract position based out of Waterloo, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
