DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Supervisor 1, you will tend to a variety of responsibilities to ensure efficient and effective operations within the office.  Primary duties include overseeing and distributing work assignments to clerical staff, reviewing and ensuring completion of assignments for accuracy and timeliness, addressing personnel related concerns and recommending disciplinary action, if necessary, and providing orientation, direction, and assistance to new staff.  You will also provide training and related opportunities to improve staff performance, maintain general office files, arrange and prepare for meetings, resolve discrepancies and problems regarding clerical support, and assist with initiating and implementing personnel actions, procedures, and policies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of moderately complex clerical work experience; or

Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Legal Requirements:

You must pass a background investigation.

A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.

Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
