Description
My client is a company within the real estate industry looking for a Staff Accountant to fill the role in their DC office. The ideal Staff Accountant for this role will be responsible for assisting the accounting team with the day-to-day operations and ensuring the financial statements are reported accurately. The responsibilities for the Staff Accountant will include preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements, assisting with invoicing, posting various journal entries, reconciling the balance sheet accounts and collaborating with the team to achieve goals. This organization has room for growth and offers excellent benefits.
Daily responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include:
· Prepare financial statements.
· Assist with month-end close process.
· Reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
· Post journal entries.
· Assist with other ad hoc duties.
Requirements
The ideal Staff Accountant we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:
· 0-1+ years of accounting experience.
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
· Real Estate accounting experience, a plus.
· Experience with Yardi, a plus.
· Strong communication skills.
