Job Description

We seek an experienced and strategic-minded Senior Manager of Products with a strong background in software security to lead the product development lifecycle and manage the engineering team responsible for bringing security-focused products to market. This role combines product ownership expertise with effective team leadership, ensuring the successful delivery of secure and innovative software solutions.

  • Product Ownership:

  • Act as the Product Owner for security-focused products, defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize features, user stories, and enhancements based on market trends, customer needs, and security considerations.

  • Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the engineering team responsible for developing and delivering security products.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Product Development:

  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of software products with a strong emphasis on security features.

  • Work closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into actionable development tasks.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate product strategies, development progress, and security features to stakeholders, including executives, customers, and internal teams.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify security trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs, influencing product strategies accordingly.

  • Risk Management: Collaborate with security experts to assess and manage potential risks associated with product development and implementation.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration between product management, development, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure a unified and efficient approach to product delivery.

  • Budget Management: Manage budgetary aspects related to product development, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.

Qualifications

What skills do you need?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business, or a related field

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of managerial experience

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager with a focus on software security

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire engineering teams

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Familiarity with security principles, risk management, and compliance requirements

What is ideal?

  • Previous experience in bringing security products to market is highly desirable.

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $180-225k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
