Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Azure Data Engineer with experience implementing transformative technical solutions to join our team. The ideal candidate will use a variety of full-stack software languages and tools to build end-to-end technology solutions integrating AI into an Azure infrastructure. The candidate will have a strong understanding of the business value proposition of data-driven solutions.

Through integrating, analyzing, and transforming data from both internal and external data sources, this person will create new pipelines and build reusable components at scale to support reporting and analytical intelligence products.

Most important, the candidate will have a track record of leading successful modernization efforts throughout an organization. This position will be heavily focused on incorporating AI into solutions to drive business intelligence.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the architecture, design, development, security, and support of the Azure data platform.

  • Design, develop, and maintain data lake architecture on Azure, ensuring efficient storage, organization, and accessibility of both structured and unstructured data across various cloud platforms.

  • Implement complex data projects with a focus on collecting, parsing, managing, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets.

  • Leverage Azure Cognitive Services to build AI models that can analyze unstructured and semi-structured data.

  • Collaborate with the team to provide data-driven insights and support the organization’s data analytical needs.

  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance by implementing appropriate Azure policies, procedures, and encryption methods.

  • Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of data storage and processing solutions on Azure.

  • Present and communicate architectural designs and solutions to stakeholders, both technical and nontechnical.

  • Drive the implementation and adoption of Single Sources of Truth (SSoT), standards, and industry best practices for data quality, master management, and data governance frameworks.

    Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience as a data engineer developing data architecture, design, and data governance.

  • 2+ years of experience leading a team of data engineers.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert is preferred.

  • Experience with MS Power Platform is a plus.

  • Deep experience with Azure cloud services, such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks.

  • Experience developing advanced reports and dashboards in PowerBI.

  • Proficient in programming languages, such as Python, Scala, or Java.

  • Experience with big data processing frameworks, such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Apache Kafka on Azure.

  • Expertise in various data storage solutions, such as relational databases and NoSQL databases.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts and technical architecture.
