Smithbucklin, a 100 percent employee-owned association management company, is looking for a Sr. Membership & Operations Coordinator to join our Healthcare & Scientific Industry Practice in Washington, D.C. The Healthcare & Scientific unit offers unmatched association expertise and specific knowledge of the issues, challenges and actions distinctive to the changing healthcare environment. From legislative and regulatory advocacy, to building successful industry relations programs and understanding the intricacies of journal publishing and management issues, our association professionals bring extensive experience and considerable knowledge of the issues unique to healthcare-related associations. The Sr. Membership & Operations Coordinator plays an integral role in organizing a wide range of activities relating to general association management.

What You Will Do
Drive day-to-day client association operations
Develop and supervise support staff
Report on key performance indicators to the Board and Executive Director
Lead the association’s member and marketing communications (i.e., e-alerts, monthly newsletters, web content, etc.)
Serve as a key resource to the Board and the association’s committees
Manage educational programs, such as webinars, conference sessions, and other events
Execute the strategic direction as set by the Board and the Executive Director

You possess sound business judgment related to conflict resolution
You have the ability to travel (5%)
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent experience
5-7 years of relevant professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with volunteers is valuable
A solid knowledge base of the healthcare association/industry
Database management experience is a plus
Proficiency with basic computer programming, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Our hybrid environment offers you the option to work from home two days per week. Employees will work a standard 40-hour week, with the possibility of additional hours based on project deadlines.
