Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to support the Supplier Relationship and Performance Management (SRPM) initiatives within our Enterprise Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization. This role will be responsible for resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of the SRPM Roadmap, receiving and reviewing requirements for SRPM initiatives, and ensuring the successful adoption of new processes and procedures across global supply chain. The Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams in support of executing of SPRM strategies that improve engagement and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

The qualified candidate may be located anywhere within the continental United States near an existing Northrop Grumman facility including, but not limited to: Baltimore, MD, Falls Church, VA, Irving, TX, or Melbourne, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel often requiring coordination between a variety of organizations

  • Present to internal decision-makers and represent Northrop Grumman Global Supply Chain in organization leadership briefings, program briefings, and supplier engagement

  • Create and document general supplier relationship and performance strategies in procurement plans to achieve program goals and objectives

  • Document SRPM plans to achieve the program’s material objectives and present to management for review and approval; maintain plan throughout course of activity

  • Identify obstacles to excellence and highlight continuous improvement opportunities

  • Represent GSC as a primary contact on program contracts or projects

  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and cultures

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

  • The ideal candidate must be professional, have experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams), communicate written and verbally, exposure to proposal process, and have presentation skill set

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience

  • Supply Chain planning management and/or project management experience

  • Experience with Supplier Assessment Management Systems (SAMS)

  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a DOD Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) or certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Experience with Government procurement processes and regulations; FAR/DFAR

  • Experience as a planner working on Aerospace and Defense programs

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel

Salary Range: $82,900 - $124,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
