Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, the Manager, Human Resources Operations ensures the successful implementation of key HR processes and technologies to drive an efficient and optimal employee experience. Responsibilitiesinclude HR policy development, HRIS management, employee rewards and recognition programs, performance management, HR compliance, incentive programs, HR data analytics, as well as physical and electronic file management. This role will also provide support to the CHRO in employee relations and HR budgeting and fiscal management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the performance management process and ensure that employees receive regular feedback and coaching to enhance their performance.

  • Maintain the upkeep of all organizational job descriptions.

  • Manage key data into the human resources information system (HRIS) and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation, including personnel files, electronic recordkeeping, and specific HR systems.

  • Participate in new employee orientation and onboarding activities to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on HR operations and trends.

  • Work with CHRO to manage employee relations and provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues.

  • Participate in the oversight of compensation programs, including salary structures, bonus programs, and rewards and recognition programs.

  • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions on various HR-related topics, compliance requirements, and other relevant topics.

  • Manage HR projects and initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of relevant Human Resources experience is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

  • PHR/SPHR certification is preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on process improvement and data-driven decision-making.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Proven work experience as an HR Operations Manager, HR Generalist, or similar role.

  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to work collaboratively in service to a diverse workforce.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build and sustain positive working relationships.

  • Ability to handle confidential HR information with discretion.

  • Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple HR responsibilities effectively.

  • Good knowledge of labor and employment law.

  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems, especially Paycom.

  • Experience maintaining compensation structures.

  • Ability to develop clear and equitable Company policies.

  • Team management skills are highly desirable.

Compensation

The salary range for this role begins at $115,000. Starting annual salary will be determined on individual qualifications. EEI also offers an annual performance incentive which is prorated for mid-year start dates. This incentive is typically up to 10% of base salary. Office Protocol

This is a hybrid position which requires the incumbent to reside in the District of Columbia metropolitan area and come into the office a minimum of three days each week with two of the mandatory days being Tuesday and Wednesday.
