ARAMARK Graphic Design Specialist - Georgetown University in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Graphic Design Specialist to join our rapidly growing team to drive performance with the Georgetown University (Hoya Hospitality) by creating a multi-channel strategy to create engaging design solutions with high visual impact. This role will work closely with the marketing team on-site in defining requirements, visualizing, and creating graphics including illustrations, social media, and layouts. The successful candidate will be a visionary, backed by a portfolio of work demonstrating creative skills with a passion for design and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

o Utilize InDesign and Photoshop skills to produce highly complex sales, operations, and marketing support materials

o Graphic design work requires an advanced to expert-level illustrator to develop creative ideas and concepts for a variety of communication channels, including but not limited to flyers, posters, signage, point-of-sale materials, websites, social media, corporate communications, and presentations

o Support in website development and maintenance with relevant creative, graphics, copy, and design content (no coding skills required, but great if present)

o Ensure corporate identity, brand voice high-quality, photographs, proper grammar, message consistency, and accurate content for all projects. Maintain quality throughout draft, editorial, and production phases.

o The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software, and a professional approach to time, costs, and deadlines

o Works independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with marketing team(s), meeting deadlines and budget constraints, and scheduling project implementation based on workload, which may include simultaneous projects

o Maintain positive interaction with co-workers and customers to provide efficient and quality customer service

o This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or the usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in art, graphic design, or a related field

  • 1-3 years of experience in graphic design

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop

  • Understanding of content creation and curation tactics in digital, photographic, and other mediums

  • Experience engaging with branded accounts on social media

  • 1 year of experience in website design and management

  • Understanding of offset press printing and preparing files for print

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time

  • Must be receptive to design feedback

  • Track record of working independently and as part of a team

  • Maintains effective relationships with other team members and promotes a collaborative work environment

  • Experience in like industry (hospitality, education, food service) a plus

  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 40 lbs

  • Excellent project management skills with a proactive approach to all projects
