BAE Systems Budget Analyst under the OCIO in Washington, District Of Columbia
Job Description
This position will work directly with and support a long-standing Government client, the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This established position on the contract has the potential to grow into a larger role supporting BAE Systems corporate businesses. The selected candidate will demonstrate their ability to successfully coordinate with customer stakeholders and our project leadership, while managing the customer budget, developing budget projections, tracking billing and invoices, and identifying trends. You will provide executive-level Program financial information to the Program Office for review by the Chief Information Officer and other executive-level management.
The position requires living within commuting distance to Washington D.C. to work onsite a minimum of 1 day per week in the Government office location located in the downtown District of Columbia.
Important: Candidates who already possess a Government Security Clearance may receive a faster processing time to establish a potential start date. Any candidate selected without the required (minimum) Public Trust security clearance must be able to obtain and maintain their Public Trust clearance.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
A minimum of a Bachelors degree and 4 years of professional Budget Analyst experience: receiving,reviewing, validating, and capturing data from incoming invoices from vendors.
Experience coordinating with 3rd party technical, management, and business stakeholders to determine existing and future budget requirements and justifications
Demonstrated comfortability assisting in both simplifying and streamlining business processes related to managing program budget, customer billing, and financial reporting.
Previous experience working within a major Program Office or PMO developing clear, well organized customer-facing information on financials and other aspects of the program.
Proficiency in monitoring and controlling costs and schedules.
Experience performing analyses and preparing reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines.
Experience with developing budgets, cost controls and preparing financial analyses such as variance analysis.
The ability to prepare program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.
Demonstrated experience or exposure to performing schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.
Must be an expert user of MS Excel.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with PowerBI would be preferred but is not required.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $99410 - $168997
