What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will support the Anaplan Platform services at Amgen. You will use your knowledge and skills to support a growing global platform at Amgen to accelerate business forecasting and planning at Amgen.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the business SMEs, IS partners, and IS leadership to understand, prioritize, and advise on platform services and solutions.

  • Application configuration and building responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Optimized customer experience and value within all applications in the platform.

  • Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to develop automated strategies to simplify and automate manual repetitive tasks.

  • Develop and lead effective communication and adoption strategies of new platform functionality as released by vendor.

  • Support the quarterly planning process to ensure focus on the highest value priorities for Amgen.

  • Support day to day platform operations to ensure quality of service to all product teams.

  • Develop Anaplan resources and accelerators that are consistent with industry and Amgen’s best practices.

  • Partner with peers and leadership to build awareness content using newsletters, proof of concepts, and other awareness strategies.

  • Collaborate with peers and product teams to enable cross functional connected operations within the platform.

  • Support user enablement and training to achieve self-reliance on model development and use.

  • Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to ensure regulatory and SOX requirements are met!

What we expect of you

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The professional we seek will have these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Information Systems/Computer Science experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 6 years of Information Systems/Computer Science experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Information Systems/Computer Science experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience with any planning software systems i.e.; Anaplan, Hyperion, IBM TM1, IBM EP.

  • Knowledge of and experience with Agile delivery methodology and working with product teams.

  • Excel skills, including macros, complex charts and pivot tables.

  • 1-2 years of experience in scripting languages such as Python, R.

  • Proven experience in a cloud-based computing environment.

  • Proven experience translating complex issues into simplified manageable steps or work.

  • Abilty to quickly ramp up on new technology.

  • Ability to lead discussions with stakeholders, peers and leaders.

  • Experience building, tracking, and reporting on budgets, forecasts, management reporting, and/or business planning.

  • Superb communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to balance several sophisticated projects simultaneously!
