Assist with planning, organizing, and directing warehouse activities to ensure successful night shift operations. May be responsible for one or more of the following activities related to the receiving, storing, and/ or shipping of materials or finished goods. May be responsible for ensuring materials are received from proper vendors, delivered to inventory and finished goods, are available to meet production schedules, packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner. Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control. May evaluate current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives and develop and implement improved procedures and practices. Gives work direction, resolves problems, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. Key Responsibilities: Onboard, train and managewarehouse personnel up to 90 employees Ensure balanced workflow to eliminate delays and inefficiencies. Responsible for completion of daily work volumes Maintaining a positive morale, work standards and developing teams. Assist with controlling expenses. Assist with reducing employee turnover. Assist with reducing overtime working hours. Assertively seek solutions to problems at the root level. Drive quality and process improvement. Ensure warehouse operations comply with federal, state, and local company policies. Implement company standard operating procedures for storage, fulfillment and distribution. Review SOP's for adequacy through participation in internal audits. Assure compliance of all SOP's and Work Instructions by warehouse personnel. Performs as the Company representative in communications with suppliers, vendors and customers. Collaborate with various interdepartmental teams. Ensure warehouse equipment and vehicles are well maintained and that housekeeping meets company standards Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. On-Call rotation for weekend emergency deliveries and monitoring (approximately 4 weekends annually) Minimum Requirements Typically requires 3+ years of subject matter experience including exhibitingleadership capabilities. Critical Requirements Computer proficiency in MS Office. Excellent and effective business communication skills both verbally and in writing. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and make strong business decisions. Demonstrated employee engagement skills. Strong problem-solving ability and ability to meet assigned deadlines. Extremely dependable. Excellent organizational skills. Preferred Requirements 4-year degree or equivalent experience 2+ years ofmanagerial experience Inventory warehouse experience Familiarity with Six Sigma Lean Principles Work Hours: Shifts are generally 9 to 10 hours depending on business needs.
