UL, LLC Engineer Project Associate in Warszawa, Poland
Dedicated to our Energy & Industrial Automation division, you will be managing and delivering engineering projects from start to finish, throughout the whole project lifecycle in accordance with the relevant UL and International Safety standards. You will learn ULs certification systems, services and processes to partner with and assist our customers in their exciting product safety certification journey!
Manages testing and certification projects for Energy & Industrial Automation department (types of products: Circuit Breakers, Fuses, Protection Electronics, Filters, Relays).
Represents UL at meetings of outside organizations and provides presentations on a variety of code and certification related technical topics.
Communicates with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures and requirements, and negotiate completion date and sample requirements.
Provides technical assistance to clients in reference to product evaluations and plans review.
Resolves complex engineering issues by analyzing and reporting on the acceptability of the field-based product evaluations.
Develops test requirements for products beyond the scope of existing standards, or those involving unique features requiring frequent use of independent judgment.
Develops special test methods and test equipment.
Determines areas in which the product may not be in compliance with the applicable Standard based requirements.
Plans, conducts and supervises code and regulatory related projects of major magnitude and scope.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology or Manufacturing Technology.
Directly related work experience, preferably as an Electrical Engineer/Electrician with knowledge about Circuit Breakers, Fuses, Protection Electronics, Filters and Relays.
Experience with Testing and Certification services would be a strong asset.
Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts in use in areas of expertise.
Experience with the utilization of Electrical Test Equipment.
Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the field evaluation business.
Strong written and verbal English skills. Additional languages like German would be nice to have.
Strong communications and client-interfacing skills.
