EMERGENCY ROOM PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN: WYOMING COUNTY COMMUNITY HEALTH SYSTEM
HOURS: All shifts as assigned
SALARY: $18.35 - $20.48 per hour, Per Diem
LOCATION: Wyoming County Community Health System 400 North Main Street, Warsaw, New York 14569
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: Under general supervision, incumbents of this class provide personal care to emergency room patients. Responsibilities involve the performance of clinical support functions and patient care techniques and preparation of patients for treatment and operating procedures. Typical work activities may include greeting patient at bedside upon arrival, place patient on telemetry monitor, assist in wound irrigation prior to suture placement for MD, document vital signs, transports to specific departments for treatments, adheres to department process and procedure for mental health patients, and all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a New York State high school equivalency diploma AND one year experience giving person care assistance to patients. BLS Certification is desired, or must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.
