Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients checking in and scheduling appointments using specialized scheduling software.

  • Answer billing questions, manage patient medical records, and ensure all interactions uphold the highest standard of customer service.

  • Facilitate patient appointments across designated departments, providing testing instructions to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Secure necessary authorizations and referrals, maintaining compliance with medical guidelines.

  • Greet and interact with patients and their representatives professionally, addressing their needs effectively.

  • Collect accurate demographic, insurance, and claim adjudication information through interviews with patients or their representatives.

  • Update and maintain patient records accurately, ensuring compliance with necessary authorizations and medical guidelines.

  • Respond promptly and satisfactorily to customer issues across various departments.

  • Communicate effectively with management on issues impacting task accuracy and timeliness, and suggest process improvements.

  • Display dignity and respect in all interactions, fostering a respectful work environment.

  • Adapt to changes in daily activities, including updates in insurance payer regulations and system changes.

  • Follow all departmental processes and policies, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the clinic.

    Requirements

  • Experience: 1-3 years in a role requiring familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records); competence in this area is a must.

  • Strong customer service orientation with a proven ability to address customer needs.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with patients, team members, and management.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Consistent, regular onsite attendance with punctuality and reliability.
