Clinical Advocacy Executive Director Sr.

Location:  Alternate locations may be considered. This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our PulsePoint locations.

The Clinical Advocacy Executive Director Sr . is responsible for driving the successful communication and deployment of clinical, advocacy and engagement programs, and strategies for Anthem’s Commercial and Specialty Business Division (CSBD) prospects, large and complex National Account clients, and stakeholders resulting in improved health, enhanced consumer experience, management of costs, and improved productivity. Serves as a lead subject matter expert and contributes to the sales and expansion of services meeting client needs. Consults and leverages Anthem’s clinical, advocacy, and engagement assets for employers, consultants, and consumers to upsell existing business, retain accounts, and grow membership. Serves as liaison between key partners to address and resolve client-specific needs, driving systemic improvements related to population health and clinical solutions; network management; and reporting and analytics.

How you will make an impact:

  • Delivers strategic, consultative clinical support to clients.

  • Provides consultative subject matter expert support on clinical, advocacy, and engagement programs.

  • Directs the analysis of comprehensive data, business priorities and workforce health issues to determine population health and clinical risks, opportunities, and its financial impact to clients.

  • Identifies client-specific issues including gaps, trends and opportunities and delivers data driven solutions.

  • Builds partnership relationships with internal and external stakeholders to include but not limited to internal sales, account management, product owners, operations, and leadership as well as external client decision makers, consultants, and brokers. Becomes a trusted advisor.

  • Understands the product, operations, and business processes that support clinical, advocacy, and engagement programs.

  • Supports opportunities for business development, growth, and retention of business in partnership with internal stakeholders.

  • Provides subject matter expertise (SME) support and training to the sales, account management ,and respective supportive teams or provides SME support in front of clients, prospects, brokers, and consultants.

  • Provides oversight, knowledge, and experience in support of complex strategies, RFPs, proposals, and client presentations for new and existing business opportunities.

  • Drives the development of multi-year market or client specific clinical, advocacy and/or engagement strategies with a focus on growth and retention.

  • Maintains ongoing account relationships at multiple levels throughout the CSBD organization.

  • Participates in CSBD enterprise-wide initiatives to drive continuous improvement of existing solutions and to develop new solutions that address either the delivery of or the evaluation of these solutions.

  • Mentors, coaches, and trains other team members.

  • Travel up to 25% may be required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in nursing or other health-related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience in external client-facing program management, project management, or account management, as well as minimum of 5 years of leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experience:

  • MA/MS or other advanced degree in health-related field and/or business administration preferred.

  • Prior experience in the health-related field is preferred.

  • Prior sales experience preferred.

  • Experience working for an insurance carrier is preferred.

  • Prior experience presenting to C-level executives preferred.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and well organized preferred.

  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, and attention to detail skills preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $158,400 to $237,600.

Location:  New York.
