Banner Bank Merchant Services Specialist (Remote - WA, ID, OR, CA) in Walla Walla, Washington

As a Merchant Services Specialist you will be responsible for the day-to-day support of the Bank's Merchant Services business. The incumbent serves as a subject matter expert in Merchant Services. Provides support to branch personnel in their efforts to set up and maintain Merchant Services relationships with the Bank's business clients. In this role you will have the opportunity to: Provide branch support -explain program details, provides technical assistance and answer questions regarding the merchant services program. Perform maintenance on merchant services accounts. (examples: update contact information, close accounts, update and replace equipment). Maintain Cash Advance Accounts. Reconcile the Cash Advance DDA account on an ongoing basis. Provide Merchant Support - Responsible for escalated customer service opportunities from the global payments customer care center and merchant support generated by bankers. Monitors the Merchant Services phone queue and merchant services team inbox. Responsible for retention activity including pricing adjustments and rate reviews. Assisting existing merchants who request new product functionality. Maintain audit report per procedures. Generates and delivers weekly and monthly incentive and performance reports for various business units. Responsible for global payments data files and loading Banner portal reports. Prepares financial entries to allocate branch income. Manages refunds and other journal voucher activity. Complete applications as needed for Merchant Services Consultants. Monitor and act upon daily processor notes. Education & Certifications H.S. Diploma: required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) Bachelor's Degree: Business or Finance, a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. preferred (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) Experience 2+ years progressive experience merchant services support required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Demonstrate ability to deliver professional, responsive customer service. Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Possess strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and produce accurate work. Proficient in MS Office products, including Word and Excel.
