We serve as a flex plant and are able to produce everything from a whole pasteurized egg to liquid, dried, hardboiled and curds. Responsibilities Position Overview: Join our team as a Sanitation Lead, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our equipment and department areas. Manage daily, weekly, and monthly master sanitation schedules for the department area. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality will ensure our products meet the highest standards. This position offers the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Pre-Op Inspections: Conduct daily pre-operation inspections to ensure readiness for production. Production Start-Up: Follow daily production start-up procedures to ensure smooth operations. Cross-Training: Be cross-trained in two sanitation jobs to provide flexibility and support where needed. Problem Reporting: Report any equipment or mechanical problems promptly to management. Team Collaboration: Utilize team efforts in the inspection of the entire area to maintain high standards. Safety and Quality Reporting: Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety to management. Compliance: Ensure the room is in compliance with all safety and quality standards. Flexibility: Be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Independent and Team Work: Work independently and as part of a team to achieve sanitation goals. Safety Commitment: Take personal responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, incorporating safety and health into all tasks. Quality Practices: Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality is maintained. Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance at all times. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Good communication skills. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Capability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form. Ability to understand and follow oral instruction. Must be able to perform multiple tasks at a time (tripping cups, cleaning whites, etc.) Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with others to complete work assignments. Open to change. Positive interpersonal relationships. Able to work independently and with others in a team environment. Self-motivated while also willing to ask questions and seek direction. Displays responsible behavior at work. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Capable of safely lifting 75 lbs. on occasion. Capable to work in cold, wet, noisy, dusty and humid environments. Possess the ability to stop and bend while cleaning. Capable to stand on hard surface for most of shift. Able to work with chemicals.
