Tri-County Health Care Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Wadena, Minnesota

Astera Health is looking to add to the Occupational Therapy team! This position is non-exempt, scheduled at 64 hours per biweekly pay period. Astera Health offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life and retirement. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the OTR with treatments in the areas of upper extremity functioning, ADLs, cognitive/sensory/perceptual functioning, wheelchair positioning, and more.

  • Carry out treatment plans in accordance with OT's plan and physician orders.

  • Communicate with OTR as needed concerning patient's progress.

  • Complete progress notes concerning patient's condition and progress towards goals.

Competencies required include:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Demonstrates a high degree of commitment to customer service excellence

  • Strong computer skills with ability to become skilled in EPIC with training

Education and experience required:

  • Graduate from accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Experience with splinting, geriatrics, and orthopedics
