The Office Assistant coordinates clerical support services
Essential Functions
- Maintains/creates e-mail distribution lists, databases, simple spreadsheets, office supplies, and files
- Distributes departmental mail
- Answers phones
- Assist in preparation of accurate bills of lading and other shipping documents, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining organized records.
- Assisting the Safety and Logistics Specialists in incident investigations and various safety related duties
- Assist in Data Entry and Documentation with the heavy workload from Facility, Safety and Logistic departments
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Competencies
- Familiarity with administrative and office procedures, including file and record management.
- Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to successfully manage concurrent projects and multiple priorities
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- Good attendance and work history
