Howmet Aerospace Inspector III in Waco, Texas

  • Monitor the Manufacturing Operations by In-Process and Final Inspection to assure compliance with approved processing, procedures and/or specification.

  • Provide assistance to Q.A. and manufacturing to evaluate problems and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

  • Uses all standard inspection tools, such as micrometers, height gages, optical comparators, tensile testing machines, hardness testing machines, thread gages, coating thickness gages, salt spray, etc., as may be necessary to determine conformance of products to blueprint specifications and/or standards.

  • Function and maintenance of all final inspection and lab equipment, shear, tensile and push out fixtures to evaluate functional characteristics of the product.

  • Make mounts, polish and evaluate micro-structures as required.

  • Maintain records, production reports and other reports and/or forms as required.

  • Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.

  • Maintains full compliance and conducts all activities in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

  • Performs other duties as required.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • ​Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Benefits/Salary:

The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The minimum pay for this role starts at $19.54. This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
