Job Description For Estimator/Lift Station Designer/Shop Helper
This is a multi-job position, which includes the following:
*Design and estimate lift stations. Must check email throughout the day to retrieve quote requests, and field telephone calls from customers needing quotations. Must be able to provide solutions to storm water and wastewater needs. Provide technical specifications to support quotes. Must be able to select and size correct pumps using information provided by engineer or customer.
*Responsible for getting quotes to customers within a reasonable time frame; following up on quotes and securing purchase order.
*Responsible for ordering material for job and leading manufacturing progress through the completion of job.
*Will assist with all aspects of shop work when needed, including shipping and receiving of freight building lift stations, repairing pumps, etc.
*Will work within time constraints, multi-task, and build sound relationships with customers. Multi-tasking is very important in this position.
*Will exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills.
*Will be capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving.
*Will be required to troubleshoot pump and control problems/issues on telephone or in person.
- Provide Quality Control Inspections of Lift Stations before we deliver.
*Will be required to go on service calls and star up's as needed.
*Provide technical specifications to support quotes.
*Will be required to be in the Friday rotation (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
*May be required to to attend trade shows.
*May be required to be away from home from time to time for 1-2 days and nights.
- Will assist in keeping building and yard clean and presentable : ie: yard mowed, floors swept and mopped, trash emptied.
*Assist in keeping management informed of quantities of stock materials and pumps to insure maintaining a workable quantity.
*Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Notes: Must keep appearance presentable at all times. Must maintain a good driving record to be employed with Triple D Pump
