Aggreko Supply Chain Manager - Africa in United States

We’re looking for Supply Chain Manager - Africa who will be entrusted with a critical mission: delivering and executing the supply chain strategy for our operations spanning across Africa. Your role will involve leading and developing a team of inventory and logistics professionals to ensure that Aggreko's supply chain is always on point, delivering the right quality products to the right locations at the right time. What's more, you will be playing a vital role in coordinating the multiple interfaces between all stakeholders involved in the supply chain. You'll be the face of the region driving enhancements behind the maintenance and improvements of the ERP system functionality and associated processes to improve the overall supply chain and inventory performance ensuring the highest governance and ethical standards are achieved. In this position, you'll be reporting to the Operations Manager with a dotted line to the Regional Head Procurement and Supply Chain. What you’ll do:

  • You will have a close working relationship with the Regional Head of Procurement and Supply Chain to develop and implement key supply chain and inventory strategies ensuring these are implemented effectively and efficiently to drive value in the region.

  • Create and oversee a high performing team, establishing well-defined roles, duties, performance standards and embedding best in class supply chain practices aligned with our global standards.

  • Act as a point of escalation for key supply chain issues, ensuring that any problems are resolved quickly and efficiently. With your in-depth knowledge of the supply chain, you'll be able to provide expert guidance and support to teams across the organization.

  • As the Supply Chain Manager, you'll be tasked with reviewing the existing supply chain processes. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing a transformation plan that will elevate how the supply chain supports the business, ensuring that it operates at peak efficiency.

  • Creation and coordination of defined inventory reduction initiatives across the business to optimise inventory levels and drive the investment to ensure maximum efficiency and stock holding to provide an inventory hub to support our operations in Africa.

  • You will be responsible for capturing and feedback of all system enhancements and required training to ensure the supply chain team operates to the most efficient standards. In addition, you'll collaborate with the procurement team to establish the most appropriate and efficient supply chain design and material flow from suppliers into the business. By working together, you'll be able to drive down costs, improve lead times, and enhance the overall performance.

  • Develop, monitor and manage supply chain KPIs to improve performance. You'll use data analysis and insights to identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance the overall quality of the supply chain.

You’ll have the following skills and experience

  • 5 years of experience managing a supply chain team in a global manufacturing business with a deep understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management,

  • Experience of implementing process and systems changes with an ability to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for change,

  • A positive can-do attitude. A highly motivated individual, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering results with an ability to inspire and motivate a team,

  • Willingness to take ownership of problems and drive solutions. A proactive problem-solver, with the ability to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions to complex supply chain challenges.

  • Skilled at bringing people together, whether that’s through people management or the multiple interfaces and stakeholders throughout the supply chain.
