Assistant Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner Supervisory Financial Analyst in United States

Responsibilities As a Supervisory Financial Analyst, you will: Provide comprehensive, up-to-date models for computing credit-subsidy-rates, Liability for Loan Guarantee and Loan Loss Reserve estimates, and other required calculations for budget and financial statement reporting. Provide analysis and reports for executive review, including regular and ad hoc reports requested by the Office Director, senior management, or oversight agencies that provide critical information needed for budget and policy decision makers. Advise on matters pertaining to the financial impact on the FHA insurance funds resulting from new or revised HUD FHA programs and policies, new or proposed legislation, and new or proposed OMB rules and regulations. Plan, direct, and carry out major studies that assess the value of FHA programs and make authoritative recommendations for important policy and program changes. Oversee the design and implementation of complex financial research projects. Perform research involving financial and budget-accounting concepts as applied to Federal direct loans and guarantees. Qualifications You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Planning, directing, and carrying out financial research studies that result in authoritative recommendations; AND - Providing administrative and technical supervision to analysts engaged in financial valuations of direct loan or loan guarantee programs or portfolios; AND - Assigning, directing, and reviewing the work of subordinate employees. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
