The Senior Video Network Specialist is responsible for designing and producing effective and innovative digital design assets and videos for instructional and marketing use. The position works in collaboration with academic departments to produce broadcast quality marketing and educational videos. Responsible for all parts of the video development process. This includes augmenting faculty content, script writing support, directing live video shoots, creating motion graphics, recording and directing voiceover talent, choosing proper music for each educational piece, mastering and optimizing audio and video, editing the final video and encoding video for HD or publishing online in various formats.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates, creates, and oversees/assists with all parts of the marketing and instructional video development process, from storyboarding and script writing through video capture, audio capture, and production.

  • Designs, develops directs, shoots and produces all digital media and content.

  • Makes technical decisions for studio and on-location instructional shoots, which includes lighting, camera angles, shoot locations, and audio needs.

  • Films in campus studio locations, performing and/or overseeing post production for all instructional videos.

  • Consults with academic subject matter experts (faculty and academic administration) to discuss media production needs, to identify and clarify concepts, and to develop ideas into the creation of video content.

  • Meets with subject matter experts to evaluate effectiveness of finished video products.

  • Trains, mentors and oversees students and staff working on instructional video projects both pre and post production.

  • Performs administrative duties: composes reports, maintain video and production files, records and disseminates information through written and oral reports, and pro-actively promotes opportunities to faculty to encourage participation in video creation for the enhancement of program marketing and online instruction.

  • Remains proficient in the understanding and use of the latest video and audio technologies, tools, trends, and techniques for utilization in marketing and instructional video creation that will improve teaching and learning.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Arts (BA), BA in Graphic Design or closely related degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Three (3) years of experience creating/producing media/video projects, video/audio editing, script writing or other closely related experience.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Apple Final Cut Pro & Soundtrack Pro, Maxon Cinema 4D, or equivalent; Demonstrate proficiency with video, audio, and light equipment in studio and ad hoc environments.

  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Graphic Design or a closed related field.

  • Six (6) years of experience creating/producing media/video projects, video/audio editing, script writing or other closely related experience.
