Job Description:
The MCx Architect role is primarily internally facing, but can be 20 or more percent externally facing depending on circumstances. This position is focused on 3GPP Mission Critical clients and services, and the Two47 MCx solution generally. At the Public Safety and Professional Communications Division of L3Harris, Architects have responsibility for requirements analysis, implementation guidance (e.g., use case development), establishment of acceptance criteria, and finding creative approaches that leverage existing technology to efficiently produce new solutions for our customers and business.
Essential Functions:
Develop requirements, architecture, and use cases for products related to the 3GPP MCx standards.
Advance the technical roadmap for the same product suite.
Provide technical consultation in response to field and internal issues.
Attend standards meetings (telecon and in person) as assigned.
Manage development backlog, in consultation with peers and product line management, for products within the position’s defined responsibilities.
Collaborate with teammates in the development of any product at PSPC that can benefit from the candidate’s knowledge and skillset.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant systems engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related systems engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related systems engineering experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with Land Mobile Radio wireless communications systems.
Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprise (SAFe) Architect Certification
Knowledge of the Two47 MCx Solution and related 3GPP standards
Successful experience implement implementing projects within the assigned scope, cost, and schedule.
Experience managing engineering projects life cycle.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $130,500 - $232,500. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $150,000 - $278,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
