The role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a former background in Recruiting to join our SoftwareOne Academy Returnship (SOAR) Program. This paid 12-week program is designed to provide support and integrate versatile professionals who have taken a career break and want to get back into the workforce. As a SOAR participant, you will have the opportunity to refresh and enhance your skills while working on meaningful projects at SoftwareOne.

Location is open and could be a remote or hybrid role.

Job Summary

As a Talent Acquisition Partner at SoftwareOne, you will be a key player in sourcing, attracting, identifying, and selecting top talent to support our regional growth plans for North America. You will have the opportunity to partner closely with hiring leaders to understand their overall hiring needs and develop recruitment strategies that align with our core values.

Role & Responsibilities

Initially, you will partner with an existing Talent Acquisition Partner (TAP) to learn the ropes and provide support throughout the recruiting process. This could include sourcing candidates, screening resumes, participating in Intake sessions with hiring managers, interpreting assessment results, crafting job descriptions, and scheduling interviews. Once comfortable, you would b e responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, from initial contact to offer and onboarding.

The TAP s ources, screens, and evaluates candidates through various channels such as job boards, social media, and professional networks. You will also c onduct detailed prescreen interviews and administer assessments to identify candidate qualifications and cultural fit. Additional duties will include b uilding and maintaining a diverse pool of potential candidates for future hiring needs.

Our applicant tracking system is iCIMS, which you would use to track candidates through the recruiting life cycle and maintain data integrity at all times.

This SOAR role would give you the opportunity to participate in regional and global TA projects that could include employer branding, operational excellence, and diversity & inclusion initiatives just to name a few. What we need to see from you

  • Career break required: you must have taken an intentional career break of at least 2+ years (e.g., for family commitments, personal reasons, sabbatical, etc.) and are now looking to return to the workforce.

  • Professional background: 5+ years of previous experience and expertise in recruiting, preferably in the tech industry.

  • Learning agility: ability to quickly learn new concepts, technologies, and tools.

  • Self-motivation: proactive and driven to succeed. Display a strong work ethic, resilience, and a growth mindset.

  • Communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and present ideas clearly.

    Target compensation for this role will be $25-30 per hour. Actual offers may be higher or lower than this range and will be decided based on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) candidates’ qualifications, experience, education, and work location.
